1. Prepare seeds

Clivia planting is usually possible at any time of the year, but the specific time depends on the time of seed collection. When the seeds are ripe, cut off the plants and keep them in a cool and ventilated place for 10 days, and then take out the seeds and air them for a day or two. Seeds need to be sown immediately after harvest, which is conducive to seed germination

If it cannot be sown in time, wrap it with gauze first, and then store it at a temperature below 15 degrees, and it cannot be exposed to light. In this environment, it cannot be stored for too long, up to 3 months, otherwise it will affect the emergence rate. In addition, before sowing, the seeds need to be soaked in warm water for 24 hours

2. Sowing method

First, ensure that the drum of the seed is on the top, and then put it evenly on the soil surface. The soil is mainly mixed with sandy soil and humus. Then it can be covered with sandy soil, which is twice as thick as the diameter of the seed. After planting, pour it with water, and then cover it with a layer of transparent glass to maintain humidity

In addition, in order to make the seeds grow as soon as possible, the pot can be placed at a low temperature and the soil temperature can be between 20 and 25 degrees. After that, water every time the soil surface is dry, but prevent more water from rotting the seeds. Then the radicle can grow in about 20 days, and the pot can be changed after 3 months

2、 Reproductive ramet

This method can also be used in any season of the year, but it is best from February to may in spring and September to November in autumn

2. Ramet method

When the Clivia grows for 2 years, a small Clivia grows from the root. When the length of its leaves is between 10 and 15 cm, the small plants can be cut off at the root of the mother plant with a knife and planted in the basin. If you do not take root, you can use rooting water to coat the root, and then plant it in the pot. Cover the root with clean river sand as much as possible, and then find a plastic bag to cover it, so as to maintain the humidity in the basin. Then put the basin in a cool place. After about 20 to 25 days, new roots can grow
