1. Basin changing time
If you feel that Clivia is not growing well and has not bloomed for a long time, it is likely that there is a problem with the soil and you need to change the pot. When changing the basin, the temperature is very important. It is best to change it when the temperature is higher than 15 degrees. Usually in March and April p>
2. Trim root
Before changing the basin, pay attention to trim the root. In this way, Clivia will adapt to the new environment faster and grow better later. Cut off the old, cross wound roots, and leave the weak ones. Generally, one third of the root system needs to be cut off. If there are rotten roots, they need to be soaked in potassium permanganate for 20 minutes after pruning p>
3. Preparation of soil
The choice of soil is very important. It's best to prepare it yourself. It can mix rotten leaf soil, garden soil, river sand, etc. You can also add some sawdust, rotten bark and other things inside, which can enhance the air permeability and drainage of the soil p>
4. Replace the basin
Pots can be changed or not, depending on the size of the plant. If the basin is not big enough, change it into a bigger one. If you still use the old basin, you need to disinfect it before putting it on the basin, such as carbendazim or exposure to the sun p>
5. Care after curing
After the basin is finished, pour water first. After that, put the plants in a cool and well ventilated place. Keep the surroundings warm and moist until the plants fully adapt to the new environment p>
