1、 Cutting time

Crab claw orchid is suitable for cutting in spring and autumn. The appropriate cutting time can provide a suitable climate for crab claw orchid, promote cutting survival and take root as soon as possible. It can be operated from March to June in spring, preferably after flowering, and from September to October in autumn

2、 Select cuttings

Select a healthy and vigorous crab claw as the mother plant, prepare a sharp knife, and cut 3-7 full, full and healthy leafy stems as cuttings. The cut leafy stem cannot be cut directly. The wound is fresh and humid. Cutting into the soil may rot. Put the leafy stem in a cool and ventilated place and dry it for 2-3 days. Apply carbendazim on the wound and wait for the wound to heal and shrink

3、 Cutting matrix

The matrix used for cutting must be loose and breathable. It can be mixed with peat soil, sandy soil, vermiculite and perlite. Sterilization and disinfection shall be done in advance to remove bacteria and pests in the matrix

4、 Cutting

Prepare a flowerpot of appropriate size, put the prepared matrix into the flowerpot, and dig a hole in the matrix, about 2-3cm deep. Cut the leafy stem into the matrix, water it properly, maintain the humidity, maintain the surrounding temperature, and bag it for heating if necessary. Generally, the crab claw orchid can take root after about two months
