1、 Breeding environment
1. Watering: African banyan likes a humid growth environment. In the growth stage, it is necessary to ensure sufficient water and keep the soil moist at all times. It should be watered more in summer and the temperature is low in winter. It is best to control the amount of watering. If there is water in the basin soil, the root will rot p>
2. Light: it has certain shade resistance and is suitable for growing in astigmatic and bright environment. It can't accept too strong light for a long time. It's easy to burn its leaves. If it grows in too dark environment, it will lead to fallen leaves p>
3. Temperature: it should be given a growth environment of 20-25 ℃. It can withstand certain high temperature and is not resistant to cold. Therefore, the temperature should be properly adjusted in winter. Too low temperature will lead to leaf falling off p>
2、 Breeding method
Cutting propagation: it is generally carried out from February to March or from September to October. Select 2-3-year-old hard branches as cuttings, with the length controlled at 15-30 cm. Insert them obliquely into the soil, and then pour them into water to ensure a certain humidity. Pay attention to no ponding and proper ventilation. If cutting in spring, it can be transplanted from August to September. If cutting in autumn, it can be transplanted from April to May of the next year p>
3、 Common diseases and insect pests
1. Disease: Banyan may have leaf spot, powdery mildew or yellowing disease. After being affected by the disease, the diseased branches and leaves should be trimmed and burned to avoid secondary infection, and cooperate with drug control p>
2. The main method to catch insect pests is to spray the shell of dichlorvos or dimethoate in time p>
