Gardenia cutting is best carried out in April. At this time, the weather temperature is just suitable for cutting, and the survival rate will be relatively high. As long as the cutting temperature is well controlled, it can be carried out in June, August or October

2、 Cutting method

1. Select branches: strong branches should be selected for cutting, and it is best to select biennial branches for cutting. There should be no diseases and pests on the branches, so the survival rate will be improved a lot

2. Trim the cuttings: the length of the branches is preferably 10-15 cm, with 3-4 leaves left at the upper end. Trim all the leaves at the lower end, and trim the notch of the cuttings into an oblique notch

3. Disinfection: after pruning the branches, put the rooting water in the container and soak the branches in the water for a period of time. The time should not be too long. It can take ten minutes

4. Prepare pot soil: prepare loose and breathable acid soil. Ceramic pots are best used for flower pots, which have relatively good air permeability and are very beneficial to plant growth

5. Cutting: insert the pruned branches into the soil for 3-4cm, and water them to keep the soil moist enough. They will take root in about 40 days
