1. Proper illumination

Reason: it is not heat-resistant during flowering. Too strong light or too long time may cause lush branches and leaves of the plant, but sparse flower buds and small flowers. If the illumination time is less than 4 hours, it will also lead to poor growth due to insufficient illumination, especially in the season of vigorous growth, we should ensure sufficient illumination

Solution: adopt the method of short sunshine, that is, keep the daily illumination time at 4-8 hours. The illumination time in the growth period can be more than that in the flowering period. Generally, the flower buds of non flowering plants can appear about one month after short light irradiation

2. Adjust fertilization

Reason: it has a long flowering period, and the flowering period of some plants can be as long as 6 months, so it is a fertilizer loving plant. If the fertility is insufficient, it may lead to fewer flower buds and difficult to bloom

Solution: ensure sufficient fertility. Generally, nitrogen fertilizer is mainly applied during the growth period, and nitrogen fertilizer can also be applied once after flowering, which is conducive to the maintenance after flowering and the growth of the next year. Before the flowering period, nitrogen phosphorus potassium compound fertilizer or potassium dihydrogen phosphate aqueous solution can be applied to promote the differentiation of flower buds and the blooming of flowers. However, fertilization should not be excessive. Thin fertilizer should be applied frequently. Try not to apply fertilizer on the leaves, resulting in the decay of the leaves

3. Pick the heart and hit the top

Reason: if the purchased plant is not picked in time, it may have apical advantage, resulting in long and slender branches and leaves and poor development of lateral branches, so malnutrition makes it difficult to differentiate flower buds

Solution: pick the tender buds of the robust plants just bought back or the plants planted to the growth period at about 10cm from the top, and new lateral buds will grow over a period of time, making the robust plants easier to blossom
