1、 Basin selection
Desert rose is a drought resistant plant. The basin for breeding it must have good drainage performance and good air permeability in order to avoid excessive watering and ponding, resulting in rotten roots. The size of the basin should be twice the size of the root system of rose in the desert, so that its root system can grow in space in the next year and will not be affected by crowding p>
2、 Basin changing time
The time of changing pots should be in spring, because the climate is stable in spring, and desert roses have just begun to grow, so they have strong adaptability to the new environment. Changing pots too early and the plants have not started to grow, which is prone to rotten roots. Too late, the plants grow vigorously. Suddenly changing pots, the survival rate is not high. The time of changing pots should be avoided in summer. In summer, the temperature is high, and the roots of changing pots are easy to rot and affect the survival p>
3、 Basin changing method
When changing pots for plants, prepare new pot soil in advance. The soil should be acidic sandy soil with good air permeability and drainage performance. When changing pots, first remove the plants from the pots. At this time, try to bring more old soil on the root system. Be sure not to bare roots. Bare roots are not easy to survive, and the survival rate of transplanting seeds with soil is higher. Then put it into a new basin with some new soil, and then fill it with the remaining soil and compact it. After changing the pot, don't water the plant first. Put it in a cool place first. After it adapts to the new environment, water it slowly, move it to a place with light, and gradually restore the light p>
4、 Precautions
When changing pots, be careful not to damage the root system to prevent infection. In case of injury, apply bactericide to the wound in time for disinfection and sterilization. It is better not to change the basin every six months than once a year. Stop watering the basin soil before changing the basin, and wait until the basin soil is completely dry before changing the basin p>
