1、 Breeding environment

1. Soil: boxwood has low requirements for cultivation soil. It can be used as long as it is not too viscous soil, but it is best to use loose sandy soil, which is very beneficial to its growth

2. Watering: it likes to be wet, but it can't have ponding for a long time. It should be watered appropriately at ordinary times. When it is still in the state of small flour, just keep it moist. It is best to water in the morning and evening in midsummer season, and avoid watering at noon in high temperature

3. Fertilization: Populus tomentosa needs nutrients to maintain during its growth, so it needs to apply fertilizer 2-3 times during this period. The fertilizer can use the rotten cake fertilizer water, and the amount of fertilizer can not be too large

2、 Breeding method

1. Sowing: it can be carried out in early September. Prepare loose loam and add some base fertilizer into it. Sow the bought seeds into the soil, cover them with a layer of soil and water them properly

2. Cutting: it is best to carry out in summer. Select the tender branches of the current year, cut off the twigs growing from the internodes at 0.5cm up and down, and then divide the stem nodes into two parts according to the location of the twigs, which are divided into two sections for cutting.
