1、 Cutting time
The ideal time for Hydrangea cutting is in the plum rain season or after flowering, combined with pruning and cutting of the cut flowers, which can save branches and the cutting time is also very appropriate p>
2、 Cutting method
1. Cutting branches: the semi lignified branches of the current year or the branches cut during pruning can be used as cutting materials. Use two to three long branches to cut off a pair or two pairs of leaves at the lower part and only one pair of leaves at the top. Cut off two-thirds of the remaining leaves and leave only one-third of the leaf body close to the petiole. Dip it in rooting powder or rooting agent p>
2. Preparation of matrix: the matrix of cutting cannot contain fertilizer, and it is best to use plain river sand or vermiculite p>
3. Insert the substrate: after the planter is planted and filled with the substrate, spray water with a watering can to sink the substrate, and then drill holes in the basin soil with a thin rod or a wooden rod with the thickness of disposable chopsticks. The depth is one-third or two to three fingers deep. Then insert the prepared cuttings into the hole, and press the branches with the index finger or middle finger to make the substrate and cuttings closely combine p>
4. Cover with film: wrap the flowerpot with film after inserting and put it in a cool and ventilated place. The newly inserted branches cannot see the sun p>
5. Later maintenance: spray water to the flowerpot regularly to keep the humidity between 75% and 85%. The sprouting of buds or the integrity of leaves can be seen in about 15-20 days, which proves that the cutting has survived. If the leaves wither and rot within this time, it indicates that the cutting has failed p>
