1、 What month can you cut
Generally speaking, it is more appropriate in spring and autumn, and the main consideration is temperature. Specifically, it can be from April to July or from September to October. The temperature of these two periods is relatively appropriate. At this time, cutting is easy to take root and germinate, and it will grow better. Especially in May, when the flowering is almost over, that is to say, the cuttings can be cut off in combination with the timing of post flower pruning, which is more convenient. In addition, cutting can also be carried out in February. This time is the time to germinate new leaf buds. Semi lignified branches are easy to survive p>
2、 Cutting steps
1. Selection and treatment of branches: choose strong, preferably semi lignified branches with enough buds on them, and cut them off with a sterilized knife. Then you need to trim it before cutting, leaving only two leaves, and the rest of the leaves should be cut off, in order to reduce water loss and facilitate survival. The wound can be treated with carbendazim so that it will not rot p>
2. Preparation of substrate: loose, breathable, drained and nutritious. After the matrix is ready, it is best to disinfect before reuse p>
3. Cutting: insert the cuttings obliquely into the matrix. Then put it in a cool and well ventilated place. After that, keep the matrix moist and take root in about 20 days p>
