How to Plant Herbs in Strawberry Pots

Strawberry pots are a great way to grow herbs in small spaces or on balconies where space is limited. The pockets on the sides of the pot provide ample room for several different herbs to grow, making it an ideal solution for any herb lover. Here's how to plant herbs in strawberry pots:

Step 1: Choose the Right Pot

The first step in planting herbs in a strawberry pot is to choose the right one. Look for a pot that is at least 12 inches in diameter, with several pockets around the sides. The pot should be made of clay, ceramic or any other material that is breathable, and must have drainage holes at the base so that excess water can drain out.

Step 2: Add Soil

Fill the pot with a good quality potting soil. A mixture of peat moss and perlite will work fine. Add enough soil to cover the drainage holes at the base, and then work your way up, filling each pocket as you go. Be sure to leave a 1-inch gap between the soil and the rim of the pot.
