How to Plant Flowering Plum Tree

Flowering plum trees are a beautiful addition to any landscape. Their vibrant pink and white blossoms bring color to your garden in the spring and their foliage provides shade and privacy throughout the summer. Growing and caring for a flowering plum tree isn't difficult, but there are some things you should know before planting. Follow these steps for successful planting:

Step 1: Choose the Right Location

Flowering plum trees require full sun and well-draining soil. Choose a location in your garden that gets at least six hours of direct sunlight a day. The tree should also be planted in soil that drains well, so make sure the area you choose is not prone to standing water.

Step 2: Prepare the Soil
