How to Plant Seed Potatoes in Pots

Planting seed potatoes in pots is a great option for those who have limited garden space or live in an apartment with no outdoor area. It’s easy to do and you can have fresh potatoes on hand without leaving the comfort of your home.

Preparing the Pot

Choose a large pot with good drainage. It’s recommended to use a pot that is at least 12 inches deep and 14 inches wide. Clean the pot with warm, soapy water and rinse well. Fill the pot with well-draining soil mix, leaving a few inches of space at the top for planting.

Choosing Seed Potatoes
