How to Plant Sakura Tree

Sakura tree or cherry blossom tree is an iconic plant that symbolizes the beauty and fleeting nature of life in Japanese culture. If you want to have your own sakura tree in your garden or backyard, here's how to plant it:

Choose the Right Spot

Sakura tree thrives in a location that receives full sunlight and well-draining soil. It is also important to choose a spot that is sheltered from strong winds because the delicate branches and flowers are easily damaged. Sakura tree can grow up to 40 feet tall with a spread of up to 30 feet, so make sure the area you choose can accommodate its mature size.

Prepare the Soil

Before planting, you need to prepare the soil by digging a hole that is twice as wide and as deep as the root ball. Mix the soil with compost or well-rotted manure to improve its nutrient content and drainage.

Plant the Tree
