How to Plant Chinese Date Tree

The Chinese date tree, also known as jujube, is a deciduous fruit-bearing tree native to China. It produces a small, round fruit with a sweet taste and crispy texture that is commonly used in traditional Chinese medicine and cuisine. If you are interested in growing your own Chinese date tree, follow these steps:

Select the Right Location and Soil

First, choose a sunny, well-drained location for your Chinese date tree. The tree needs at least six hours of direct sunlight per day to produce fruit, and it will suffer in heavy or consistently wet soils. Plant your tree in well-drained, loamy soil with a pH between 6.0 and 7.0.

Prepare the Planting Site
