1、 Cutting season

The cutting of Begonia grandiflorum can be carried out in spring or autumn as long as the temperature is higher than 15 ℃. If the temperature after cutting is too low, the rooting speed is very slow, and the survival rate is also very low

2、 Select Insert

Cutting should use old branches with good growth and 2-3 leaves on them, otherwise photosynthesis cannot be carried out after cutting. The branches used should preferably have two bud points. Before cutting, cut the bottom of the branches into horseshoe shape to make it better contact with the substrate. Put them into rooting water and soak for about 24 hours

3、 Prepare soil

If you want to take root faster after cutting, you must prepare soil suitable for plant growth. Clean river sand and rotten leaf soil can be used for cutting. If the substrate used is too thick, the cuttings will not take root because they can't breathe. It should be disinfected before use to avoid affecting rooting

4、 Cutting

After preparing the soil, insert the branches directly. At the initial stage, they need to be shielded from strong sunlight and cannot be directly exposed to the sun. New small roots will grow in about a month
